About Amravatikar Eye Donation NGO
Dedicated to eradicating corneal blindness through voluntary eye donation since 2010
Our Journey of Light
Founded in 2010 by a group of passionate ophthalmologists and social workers in Amravati, our NGO began with a simple yet powerful mission: to ensure no one in our community suffers from preventable corneal blindness.
What started as a small initiative with just 5 volunteers has now grown into a movement with over 250+ active volunteers, 35+ partner hospitals, and more than 500 successful cornea collections. We've transformed over 1200 lives through our eye donation programs.
At Amravatikar, we believe that every individual has the power to gift vision to another. Our work goes beyond just eye collection - we focus on awareness, counselling, and creating a robust ecosystem for eye donation in the Amravati region.
